Hey. My name is Tobin. Welcome!

I am a composer, jazz pianist, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, creative. I play private events, concerts, and festivals solo and as a bandleader and also teach private lessons in piano, music theory, and the drums.

I have performed with the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Big Band and Jazz Combo, the French Woods Jazz Ensemble, the Manhattan School of Music Summer Big Band, the Coast Jazz Orchestra, jazz band Clave, and jazz band Crescent. Growing up in NYC, I was exposed to a diverse range of artists and musicians that continue to shape my creative practice and my dreams. My favorite place to be is at the piano bench, blank sheet of staff paper in front of me, where I draw inspiration from Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Fazil Say, Phillip Glass, Maurice Ravel, and João Gilberto.

I began playing piano at age five under the instruction of William Cammarota and started studying jazz piano in middle school. I formerly studied guitar with Vern Woodhead, cello with Jordan Brown, and piano with Henrique Eisenmann and Joe Block. I attended The Dalton School, and was also a student at the Manhattan School of Music’s precollege jazz program, where I studied with Jeremy Manasia. He currently is a student at Dartmouth College, studying Cognitive Science (with a focus on language, thought, and creativity) and minoring in French.
